A Few Drawings - Super Busy August

I need to keep this blog up to date. There are many things happening all at once and I'm not even sure I can keep up with things. First of all the Singapore Toy Games and Comics Convention will happen this weekend August 31st 2013. Its a great platform for my non-Military art. At the same time I'm talking to several clients for jobs that will keep me occupied for the next 8 months or more. Exciting times.

I do keep up with the sketches but I'm losing track of things and all the small snippets of details kept getting forgotten. So before I forget, I'm putting up sketches from the past 2 days.

First up, just playing around with Photoshop trying to figure out things.

Next up, a more familiar late-night pen drawing.

That's all for now. Update more once I scan the rest of the sketches.

Got Myself Featured On Kit Up!

I'm a pretty big fan and a regular reader of -Kit Up!- So imagine my surprise when I got a message on my facebook page from Kit Up! writer David Reeder telling me he's shared my artwork on the blog. Its a huge honor and I hope that Kit Up! readers will find my artwork alright.

DIRECT LINK HERE

Mr Reeder accidentally came across my artwork while searching for something else. I'm glad he found it decent enough to give me my 15 minutes of fame. Thanks once again, it is a huge honor.

The Crow & The Pitcher - A 10 Hour Comics Challenge

The 24 Hour Comics Day is nearly upon us again, and the veterans of the event here in Singapore (ie myself and some insane people) decided the best way to get ourselves into the mood was to hold our own half a day event. Our rules were pretty simple, anything goes, but the target is 10 complete pages by the end of the day. You can work on it days before and finish it up on the event itself, or just join in the goof off session to chat among friends. Boy was it fun. This is what I came up with. I hope you guys will like it.

There are more updates coming over the weekend.

Nearly 7 Decades Ago....

The Allied forces launched Operation Overlord. It began with airdrops the night before and the beach landings at first light. Most students of history already know what happened next so I won't have to explain further.

Hopeful For A Productive 2013

Brand new year upon us. Here's wishing everyone a productive and prosperous year ahead. Contrary to what the economists predict.

Also, apologies to any followers for the lack of updates. Personal and professional life catching up to me and its impossible to find spare time to work on non-bread n butter art. Hopefully I will be able to find a balance in lucky year 13.

Day Of Infamy

Been busy lately, but still just need a bit of time to remember this day in the history of WW2. With the strike on Pearl Harbour, The Japanese Empire officially dragged an unwilling superpower into the fight.

More HERE

Will post some works soon, November and December are pretty hectic for some reason!

24 Hr Comics Day 2012

This is the 2nd year I've entered and completed my 24 page comic for this challenge. Though not a military themed comic like last year, it was still a lot of fun and I hope readers here wouldn't mind it. Completed within 21 hrs of the 24hrs time limit.

For more of the rules, check out the main 24hr comics page Here.

And now, The Wolf and The Dog.

These are the thumbnails I worked from. Lesson from last year's attempt: wrap up any planning early so at 4-5am when you're on automatic, you don't have to bother about major changes.
