It wasn't Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" playing in my head when I sketched these 2 pieces. It was Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son".
A friend mentioned I have no shotguns in my sketches.
I might've been rewatching HBO's excellent "Generation Kill" miniseries recently too.
